Light sage green pashmina shawl in cashmere and silk

A pashmina shawl in 60% cashmere and 40% silk, in light sage green. The silk in the blend gives the cloth a soft gloss and, because the two fibres absorb colour differently, a melange depth in the green; the cashmere gives it the warmth.

At 200 x 90 cm it is a full-size shawl, and at 94 grams a very light one — worn open over the shoulders indoors, folded around the neck outdoors, or simply carried until the evening cools. Light sage green sits close to the muted greens that turn up in knitwear and outerwear, so it layers without competing. The whole group is in silk/cashmere.

The shawl is handwoven in a basket weave from fine 15 µm cashmere at our own weaving mill in Nepal. Our page on silk and its origins tells the story of the other fibre in it.
