Dark golden pashmina shawl in cashmere and silk

A pashmina shawl in 60% cashmere and 40% silk, in dark golden. The blend suits a warm shade particularly well: silk and cashmere take up the dye differently, which gives the colour a melange depth, and the silk adds the light sheen that pure cashmere lacks.

The shawl measures 200 x 90 cm and weighs 94 grams. Open it out and it covers the shoulders as an evening wrap; fold it lengthwise and it becomes a scarf substantial enough for a winter coat. Because it weighs so little, it is easy to bring along on the chance that it will be needed. Other colours are in silk/cashmere.

It is handwoven in a basket weave from fine 15 µm cashmere at our own weaving mill in Nepal — the mill and its weavers are described on our page about handwoven scarves and shawls.
