Black pashmina shawl in cashmere and silk

Black, in 60% cashmere and 40% silk. The silk gives the blend a soft sheen where pure cashmere stays matte, and because the two fibres absorb colour differently the surface has depth rather than reading flat.

The shawl is 90 x 200 cm and weighs 94 g. That is enough cloth to wear as a proper shawl across the shoulders, over an evening dress or over a coat, and little enough weight to fold into a bag for the way home.

Care: Airing usually does more than washing. If it does need a wash, a wool detergent and a 30-degree wool cycle — or a careful hand wash — suits this blend; dry it flat and keep it away from the tumble dryer.
