Light grey pashmina shawl in cashmere and silk

A light grey shawl in the cashmere-silk blend we weave at our own mill in Nepal: 60% cashmere, 40% silk. The cashmere is 15 µm; the silk carries the sheen that pure cashmere, being matte, does not have.

At 90 x 200 cm it is a full shawl, and at 94 g it weighs next to nothing — the sort of layer that earns its place in a bag for offices that over-cool in summer and trains that under-heat in winter. Basket weave, with the melange depth that comes of two fibres taking one dye bath at different rates.
