Light pink pashmina shawl in cashmere and silk

A pashmina shawl in 60% cashmere and 40% silk, in light pink. Because the two fibres absorb colour differently, the shade reads with a melange depth rather than flat, and the silk gives the cloth a soft gloss that pure cashmere does not have.

At 200 x 90 cm and 94 grams it is a large shawl that weighs almost nothing — the kind you keep in a bag through spring and autumn and unfold when the temperature drops in the evening. Worn open it covers both shoulders; folded lengthwise it sits comfortably around the neck. See the other colours in silk/cashmere.

The shawl is handwoven in a basket weave from fine 15 µm cashmere at our own weaving mill in Nepal, described on our page about handwoven scarves and shawls.
