Dark grey cashmere scarf in twill weave

The classic dark grey cashmere scarf, woven in twill. The diagonal parallel ribs of a twill weave are what give it both its drape and the way it catches light along the grain, and the cashmere behind it measures 15 µm.

Our twill yarn is spun a little thicker than we use elsewhere, so at 135 grams across 70 x 200 cm this scarf carries real warmth rather than just weight. Dark grey is the version that goes with a work coat as easily as with jeans, and the size means it can be worn wrapped as a scarf or opened out as a shawl.

Care: Cashmere needs washing far less often than most fabrics — airing it outdoors overnight is usually enough. When you do wash it, use a wool and cashmere detergent, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, then dry it flat on a dry towel instead of hanging it wet. Never tumble dry.
