Sand coloured cashmere scarf in twill weave
Pure cashmere in sand, handwoven in twill weave at our own mill in Nepal. The diagonal rib gives the cloth its soft fall and its quiet way with light, and at 135 grams across 70 x 200 cm the stole has body without weight. Fibre diameter 15 microns.

A stole of pure cashmere in sand, handwoven from fibre measuring 15 microns — fine enough that the cloth settles against the neck instead of sitting on it.
The weave is twill, the solid-colour classic with its pattern of diagonal parallel ribs. It is a structural choice rather than a decorative one: the diagonal is what lets the stole drape elegantly and what makes the surface reflect light in that pleasing, understated way. The yarn for these stoles is spun a little thicker than in our lighter pieces, so at 135 grams over 70 x 200 cm you get something with real body — broad enough to wear loose across the shoulders, long enough to wind twice, warm without ever feeling heavy.
It is handwoven at our own weaving mill in Nepal. The other stoles woven this way are on our twill weave page; to see sand alongside the rest of the range, look at the colour chart.
Care: Most of the time airing the stole outdoors overnight is all it needs, and it is kinder to the fibre than washing. When it does need more, wash it with a detergent intended for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees — without rubbing, since that is what felts wool. Dry it flat on a dry towel and keep it out of the tumble dryer entirely. Our washing and care page covers drying, steaming and pilling in full.
