Dark green pashmina scarf in twill weave

Dark green cashmere, woven in twill. The diagonal parallel ribs of the twill weave are what you notice first — they catch the light softly and give the scarf a drape that falls rather than hangs. Underneath that is pure cashmere, spun from fibre measuring 15 micron, which is why it feels the way it does against the skin.

The scarf measures 70 x 200 cm and weighs 135 grams, so there is enough of it to wrap twice and still leave the ends loose, and enough weight in the cloth for it to stay where you put it. Dark green sits easily with denim, grey and black, which makes it a scarf that ends up in daily use rather than in a drawer.

It is woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal.

Care: When the scarf is only lightly worn, airing it outdoors is better than washing it. When it does need a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the wool programme at 30 degrees.
