Light grey cashmere scarf in twill weave

A light grey scarf woven in pure cashmere, in the twill pattern that leaves a run of fine diagonal parallel ribs across the cloth. The twill weave is what makes the scarf drape elegantly and reflect the light in a quiet, pleasing way.

At 70 x 200 cm there is enough cloth to wear it loose over a coat or to wind twice around the neck, and at 135 grams it has real substance in the hand. Light grey is the sort of neutral that settles in beside whatever is already in the wardrobe, which is much of its appeal.

It is hand woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal, from cashmere measuring 15 µm — the fibre diameter that decides how the finished cloth feels against the skin. You will find the rest of the weave in our twill weave stoles.

Care: When the scarf is not actually dirty, air it outdoors overnight rather than washing it — that is usually all it needs. When it does need washing, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, and dry it flat on a towel.
