Light grey green handwoven cashmere scarf

A grey green scarf in 100% cashmere, woven in twill — the weave that produces diagonal parallel ribs and lets the cloth drape rather than hang stiffly.

It measures 70 x 200 cm and weighs 135 grams, which puts it among the warmer weights we weave: the yarn is spun a little thicker than in our lighter qualities, so this is a scarf for actual cold rather than for decoration. Grey green is a quiet colour that goes with outerwear in browns, greys and navy alike, and the size suits both a coat collar and an open jacket.

Care: Air the scarf overnight after wearing, away from direct sunlight — cashmere freshens itself and rarely needs frequent washing. When it does, use lukewarm water with a wool detergent, by hand or on the machine's wool programme at 30 °C, and do not rub, as friction felts the fibres. Press out the water instead of wringing, dry it flat on a dry towel, and never tumble dry. Pills from friction can be removed with a cashmere comb — see the washing and care instructions.
