Dove blue cashmere scarf

Pure cashmere, woven in twill, in dove blue. The fibre measures 15 µm, which is at the fine end of what cashmere is sorted into, and it is what gives this scarf its softness against the skin rather than any finishing trick. At 135 grams it has enough substance to feel like a real garment and still fold down to nothing in a bag.

The twill weave carries the diagonal parallel ribs that give the cloth its drape and the way it catches light. At 70 x 200 cm there is room to wear it long over a coat, wound twice at the neck, or loose across the shoulders as a wrap indoors — the same scarf answers to jeans and to a dress.

It is woven in Nepal, at our own weaving mill, alongside the rest of our twill-woven pashmina stoles.

Care: Cashmere rarely needs washing — airing it outdoors is usually enough. When it does, hand wash or machine wash at 30 degrees with a wool detergent, without rubbing, and dry it flat on a towel rather than hanging it.
