Charcoal cashmere scarf in twill weave

Pure cashmere at 15 microns, woven in the classic twill: a simple, beautiful pattern of diagonal parallel ribs running the length of the cloth. That structure is what makes a twill stole drape as elegantly as it does, and what gives the surface its pleasing way of catching the light.

For these twill stoles the yarn is spun a little thicker than in our lighter stoles, and at 135 grams the cloth is correspondingly a little thicker and warmer than a summer-weight piece. The colour is charcoal — a plain, solid shade that goes as easily with jeans as with a formal dress, which is what a stole this size is for.

Care: Air the stole outdoors overnight when it is not dirty — that keeps it fresh without a wash. When washing is needed, use a wool and cashmere detergent, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, avoiding any rubbing that could felt the fibres. Dry it flat on a dry towel, never in the tumble dryer, and lift any pills off with a cashmere comb. See our washing and care page for the details.
