Amethyst coloured cashmere scarf in twill weave

Amethyst, handwoven in pure cashmere at our own weaving mill in Nepal. The fibre measures 15 µm, and the yarn is spun a little thicker than in our lighter stoles — which is why the scarf weighs 135 grams and holds its warmth through a cold walk home.

Twill weave gives the cloth a simple pattern of diagonal parallel ribs that reflects the light in a pleasing way and lets the scarf drape elegantly. At 70 x 200 cm it wraps twice at the throat or hangs open over a coat, and it sits as comfortably with jeans as with a formal dress. Care: Cashmere keeps best with a wool programme at 30 °C, or a lukewarm hand wash with a detergent intended for wool and cashmere — never rub the fibres.
