Sky blue handwoven cashmere scarf

A handwoven scarf in pure cashmere, sky blue, spun from fibre measuring 15 microns — the fine undercoat of the cashmere goat rather than the coarser outer hair. The twill weave lays down a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs that catches the light softly and lets the cloth fall in folds rather than hanging flat.

At 70 x 200 cm there is enough length to wind it twice around the neck and still have ends to spare, and enough width to wear it as a stole across the shoulders or over a coat. The yarn for our twill stoles is spun a little thicker than for our other weaves, so at 135 grams this one is correspondingly warmer — an everyday scarf rather than an evening-only one. Care: When the scarf only needs freshening, air it outdoors overnight. When it needs more, wash it with a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or in the machine on the wool programme at 30 degrees — and never in the tumble dryer.
