Rust orange cashmere shawl in 2 ply twill

A stole in pure cashmere, rust, woven in twill. Twill gives the cloth a simple pattern of diagonal parallel ribs — quiet at a distance, clearly there when you look — and the cashmere measures 15 micron, finer than the 19 micron mark we hold our yarn to.

What stands out about these twill stoles is the weight. This one is 65 grams for a full 70 x 200 cm, light enough to pull through a finger ring. That makes it the piece to reach for with a formal dress, where a heavier wrap would sit wrongly on the shoulders, and just as useful folded around the neck on an ordinary day.

It is handwoven at our own weaving mill in Nepal.

Care: Air the stole after wearing it; that is usually all it needs. For a proper wash, use lukewarm water and a detergent intended for wool and cashmere by hand, or your machine's wool cycle at 30 °C. Do not rub the fabric, or the cashmere risks felting. Take the water out with a towel, dry it flat and never tumble dry.
