Peach pashmina shawl in 2 ply twill weave

A shawl in pure cashmere, in peach. The yarn is spun to a fine 15 µm quality, and the twill weave gives the cloth its pattern of parallel diagonal ribs — simple, and quietly present rather than decorative.

At 70 x 200 cm this is a shawl rather than a scarf: broad enough to lie over the shoulders of a dress, long enough to wrap more than once around the neck when the weather asks for it. It weighs 65 grams, so it can be pulled through a finger ring and carried in a handbag all day without noticing it.

Care: Air the shawl outdoors instead of washing it whenever you can. When it does need a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the wool programme at 30 degrees — and avoid rubbing the fabric.
