Off white pashmina shawl in 2 ply twill weave

Off white cashmere, hand woven in twill at our own weaving mill in Nepal. Owning the mill is why we can account for exactly what has gone into this shawl: pure cashmere measuring 15 µm, set up and woven by hand.

The twill weave leaves a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs across the cloth and gives it a smooth, fluid fall. At 70 x 200 cm and 65 grams the shawl covers the shoulders without adding weight, and off white is a colour that will sit over most of what is already in the outfit. The same weave comes in the rest of our twill woven pashmina stoles.

Care: Air the shawl outdoors overnight rather than washing it when it is not truly dirty. When it needs a wash, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water without rubbing, since rubbing risks felting the wool, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees.
