Dark purple pashmina shawl in 2 ply twill weave

A dark purple shawl in pure cashmere, hand woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal.

The twill weave gives the cloth a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs and a smooth, fluid drape. At 65 grams over 70 x 200 cm, it is the sort of shawl that goes over an evening dress without weighing down the shoulders, and it stays just as easy over a jumper on an ordinary day.

The cashmere measures 15 µm — the fibre diameter that decides how the finished cloth feels against the skin. The same weave in other colours sits in our twill woven pashmina stoles.

Care: Cashmere lasts when it is handled gently. Air the shawl outdoors overnight instead of washing it when it only needs freshening; otherwise wash it in lukewarm water with a detergent intended for wool and cashmere, without rubbing, or run the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees.
