Curry yellow, in pure cashmere, woven as twill — the structure that lays fine diagonal ribs across the cloth. It is one of our twill weave stoles, and the fibre behind it measures 15 microns, which is what makes the surface feel smooth rather than woolly under the hand.
The numbers say most of it: 65 grams for a shawl of 200 x 70 cm. There is plenty of cloth to loop twice around the neck or to drape open over a jacket, and very little weight doing it, so it suits a summer evening over bare shoulders as readily as it suits the inside of a winter coat.
Woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal.
Care: Air the shawl overnight when it only needs freshening. For a real wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, and avoid rubbing the cloth so the fibres do not felt. Dry it flat on a towel, never in the tumble dryer, and lift any pills off with a cashmere comb. Our washing and care page has the rest.
