Maroon pashmina shawl in 2 ply twill weave

Maroon pashmina shawl woven in pure cashmere. Cashmere is warm out of all proportion to its weight, and this shawl makes the point plainly: a full 70 x 200 cm of cloth that weighs 65 grams.

The weave is twill, worked in a 15 µm cashmere quality, and it carries the parallel diagonal ribs that give the surface its structure. Wear it loose over a coat through autumn, or across the shoulders of a dress when the evening turns cool.

Care: Air the shawl outdoors rather than washing it where you can. For a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the wool programme at 30 degrees — without rubbing the fabric, then dry it flat on a towel. Never tumble dry.
