Maroon jacquard woven cashmere shawl

A jacquard woven shawl in 100% cashmere, in maroon. The pattern is not printed on the surface — it is built into the cloth on the loom, which is what jacquard weaving means, and it is why the design shows on both sides rather than sitting on top of one.

The shawl measures 70 x 200 cm and weighs 110 g. That combination is the point of it: enough length to loop twice at the neck or drape full over the shoulders at a wedding or a dinner, at a weight you barely register carrying. The cashmere is spun to 15 µm.

Care: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a wool detergent, or use the wool cycle at 30°C, without rubbing the woven fabric. Dry it flat on a towel and never tumble dry.
