Dark purple jacquard pashmina stole

A jacquard stole in 100% cashmere, in dark purple. Jacquard is a loom technique rather than a finish: the pattern is built into the cloth while it is woven, so it is part of the fabric instead of printed onto the surface, and it shows up differently as the light moves across it.

The stole measures 70 x 200 cm — wide enough to drape over the shoulders as a shawl, long enough to loop once around the neck — and the whole piece weighs 110 g, so it adds warmth without weight, over an evening dress or over a winter coat. It is handwoven at our own weaving mill in Nepal, from cashmere with a fibre fineness of 15 µm.

Care: When the stole is not actually dirty, airing it outdoors overnight is enough. When it does need washing, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine wool programme at 30 degrees.
