Dark olive green diamond woven pashmina shawl

A pashmina shawl in pure cashmere, handwoven in diamond weave at our own weaving mill in Nepal. Diamond weave is a variation of twill in which the threads form the shape of a perfect diamond, and it reflects the light in a very pleasing way. The colour is olive green.

The shawl measures 70 x 200 cm — the size that does the most work in a wardrobe, whether you wear it long as a scarf, open it out as a wrap or double it around the neck. The whole piece weighs 95 grams, and the yarn is a fine 15 µm cashmere quality, so it folds down to almost nothing in a bag and still keeps you warm on a cold evening.

Care: Cashmere rarely needs washing — if the shawl is not actually dirty, airing it outdoors overnight is usually enough. When it does need a wash, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 °C, and avoid rubbing the fabric, which risks felting it. Never tumble dry it: press the water out without wringing and dry it flat on a towel. Full instructions in washing and care instructions for cashmere.
