Petrol blue pashmina stole in diamond weave

A pure cashmere stole in petrol blue, woven in diamond pattern. Diamond weave is a variation of twill that turns the diagonal ribs into repeating diamonds, so the cloth reflects light in a way a flat weave does not. The yarn is spun from cashmere measuring 15 µm.

It is 70 x 200 cm and weighs 95 grams — the width of a shawl at the weight of a scarf. Open across the shoulders over a dress, or doubled around the neck under a coat, it does both jobs without looking like a compromise between them.

Care: Most of the time, airing the stole outdoors overnight is all it needs. For an actual wash, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees — and dry it flat on a dry towel.
