Pink pashmina stole in diamond weave

Pink cashmere, woven in the diamond pattern. The weave is a variation of twill in which the diagonal ribs reverse to form diamonds, giving the surface a quiet play of light as the fabric moves. Behind that is 15 µm cashmere yarn — fine enough to wear next to the skin without any prickle.

At 70 x 200 cm the stole is generous: wide enough to wrap properly over the shoulders, long enough to loop twice around the neck and still hang. It weighs 95 grams, which is why it lives happily in a handbag from spring through to autumn.

Care: Cashmere asks to be aired more often than washed — overnight outdoors, out of direct sun, is usually enough. When you do wash it, use a wool and cashmere detergent, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, and dry it flat on a towel. Never tumble dry.
