Charcoal pashmina stole in twill weave

A pashmina stole in pure cashmere, charcoal grey, woven as a diamond weave. The pattern is a variation of twill in which the diagonals turn back on themselves to close a diamond, and it catches the light differently as the cloth moves — pattern you see rather than feel.

The cashmere measures 15 microns across the fibre, the fine end of the scale, and the finished stole weighs 95 grams: 70 x 200 cm of cloth that takes up almost no room in a bag. Wound twice it sits inside a coat collar; opened out it covers the shoulders and upper arms.

Care: Airing it overnight is usually enough. When it does need washing, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, and dry it flat on a towel rather than on a hanger.
