Vibrant green pashmina stole in diamond weave

A pashmina stole in pure cashmere, woven in vibrant green in our own weaving mill in Nepal. The fibre measures 15 µm, and the finished stole weighs just 95 grams – light enough to keep in a bag all year and pull out when the evening turns cool.

Diamond weave is a variation of twill, where the diagonals are set so that they form a diamond shape in the cloth. Because the binding reflects the light differently across the pattern, the weave stays visible even in a single colour. At 70 x 200 cm there is cloth enough to wind twice around the neck or to let it hang loose over a coat.

Care: When the stole is not actually dirty, airing it outdoors overnight is enough. When it does need washing, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere – by hand in lukewarm water, or on the wool programme at 30 degrees – and dry it flat on a towel rather than in a tumble dryer.
