Small light pink cashmere scarf

A small scarf in 100% cashmere, woven from 15 µm fibre at our own mill in Nepal. Fifty grams — light enough that it is easy to forget you put it on.

The 150 x 30 cm format suits spring: worn open over a shirt, or knotted loosely once the sun goes down. It is also the size that gives well, since it asks nothing of the recipient's measurements. The twill weave gives it the fine diagonal ribbing of the technique and a soft drape. The colour is light pink; the same size in other shades is under small cashmere scarves.

Care: Cashmere seldom needs washing — airing it outdoors between wears is usually enough. When it does, hand wash or use a wool programme at 30 °C with a wool detergent, avoid rubbing, and dry it flat on a towel rather than on a hanger. Small pills lift off with a cashmere comb.
