Small grey brown cashmere scarf

A small scarf in pure cashmere, woven in grey brown. The yarn is 15 µm cashmere — the fine end of the fibre — and the finished scarf weighs 50 g, so it takes up almost no room in a bag or a coat pocket.

At 150 x 30 cm this is a scarf rather than a wrap: long enough to knot at the throat, narrow enough to sit under a collar. It is woven in twill, a diagonal weave that lets the cloth fall softly instead of holding a crease. It is one of our small cashmere scarves — the format to reach for when you want cashmere at the neck and nothing more.

Care: If the scarf is not dirty, airing it outdoors overnight is usually enough. When it does need washing, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere, wash by hand in lukewarm water or on your machine's wool programme, and dry it flat on a towel rather than in a tumble dryer.
