Small cashmere scarf in sky blue

Cashmere is judged on the thickness of its fibre, and this scarf is woven from cashmere measuring 15 µm. That fineness is what lets it sit directly against the skin without prickle, and what makes it warm without weight — the finished scarf comes to 50 g.

The format is the small one, 150 x 30 cm. Long enough to loop twice at the neck, narrow enough to sit under a coat collar or fold flat into a bag. Twill is the weave that gives the cloth its diagonal grain and its supple fall.

It is handwoven at our own weaving mill in Nepal, in 100% cashmere, in sky blue — one of the blue shades in our colour chart. The same scarf is woven in a long list of other colours in small cashmere scarves.

Care: When the scarf is not actually dirty, air it outdoors overnight rather than washing it. When it does need a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, without rubbing.
