Sienna giant shawl in cashmere 200 x 140 cm

A giant shawl in rust, woven from pure cashmere at 15 microns — the fine end of the range cashmere is graded on. Twill weave, so the cloth carries the diagonal parallel rib rather than a flat surface.

200 x 140 cm is a size that does more than one job: worn as a wrap over a coat, folded double around the shoulders indoors, or laid across the back of a chair when it isn't being worn. The whole shawl weighs 130 grams, so it packs down small for travel.

Care: Air it outdoors overnight when it only needs freshening. For a wash, use a wool and cashmere detergent — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the wool programme at 30 degrees. Never put it in the tumble dryer; dry it flat on a dry towel instead of hanging it wet, and don't wring the water out. Full instructions on our care page.
