Two coloured shaded pashmina shawl in brown and gold

A dip dye shawl in pure cashmere, feather light at 65 grams for a full 70 x 200 cm. It is handwoven in twill in our own weaving mill in Nepal, from cashmere spun to 15 µm.

Dip dye means the piece is dyed so that two colours blend into one another along its length rather than meeting at a line. This one runs into gold; the catalogue records the colour as golden/orange.

At this weight it works year round — knotted at the neck in winter, and over bare shoulders on a summer evening.

Care: A shawl this fine is best aired overnight rather than washed. When it needs washing, use a wool and cashmere detergent — by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees — and do not rub the fabric. Dry it flat on a towel; never tumble dry it. Our care page covers the rest.
