A dip dye shawl in pure cashmere, dyed so green and pink blend into one another along the length of the cloth. The cashmere is 15 microns and woven in twill, which sets up the fine diagonal parallel ribs across the surface.
70 x 200 cm of cashmere weighing 65 grams — feather light, and light enough to pull through a finger ring, so it folds down to almost nothing in a bag. Wide enough to cover the shoulders over a dress, long enough to wear as a scarf when it is only the neck that needs covering. Its companions are in dip dye shawls.
Handmade at our own weaving mill in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Care: When the shawl only needs freshening, air it outdoors overnight rather than washing it. For a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees — and avoid rubbing, which risks felting the wool. Never tumble dry; dry it flat on a dry towel. See our washing and care page for the rest.
