Pure cashmere, dip dyed so that black and brown run into each other across the length of the shawl. There is no print and no seam between the two colours — the blend comes from the dyeing itself, which is how our whole dip dye range is made.
The cloth underneath is a twill, recognisable by its diagonal parallel ribs, woven from cashmere fibre of 15 µm. At 70 x 200 cm the shawl weighs 65 g, so it can be worn as a scarf around the neck or opened out over the shoulders without adding any real bulk.
It is handwoven at our own weaving mill in Nepal. See the other combinations under dip dye shawls and the plain-coloured version of the same weave among our twill woven stoles. Handwoven scarves and shawls explains the workshop behind them.
Care: Air it when you can and wash it only when you must. For washing, hand wash or use a wool programme at 30 °C with a wool detergent, avoid the tumble dryer, and dry the shawl flat. Steam rather than iron. See our washing and care page.
