Shaded pashmina shawl in navy and golden

A dip dye shawl in pure cashmere, dyed so navy and golden meet as a gradual blend rather than a seam. It is woven in twill from cashmere measuring 15 microns, so the cloth carries a pattern of fine diagonal parallel ribs and takes the light along them.

At 70 x 200 cm and 65 grams it is feather light — light enough to pull through a finger ring — which is why a shawl this size can be worn indoors over a shirt without becoming a coat. Navy makes it easy to wear with the darker end of a wardrobe. The full range of pairings is in dip dye shawls.

Care: Airing the shawl outdoors overnight will handle most of what a season puts on it. When it needs washing, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, without rubbing the fabric. Never tumble dry — dry it flat on a dry towel, and take off any pills with a cashmere comb. Full guidance is on our washing and care page.
