Bottle green knitted cashmere scarf

A scarf in bottle green, knitted from 100% cashmere at 15 µm. Fineness is the whole story with cashmere — the thinner the individual fibre, the softer and lighter the finished piece for the same amount of warmth, and 15 µm sits at the fine end of the scale.

Measuring 180 x 50 cm, it is long enough to loop and leave ends, and wide enough to work opened out across the shoulders. Knitted rather than woven, so it has the give and the drape of a knit instead of the flat hand of a woven scarf.

Care: Air it overnight rather than washing it where possible. For an actual wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, hand wash in lukewarm water or use a 30°C wool cycle, and do not rub. Squeeze out the water, dry the scarf flat on a towel, and never put it in the tumble dryer. Pills raised by wear lift off with a cashmere comb.
