Plum coloured knitted cashmere scarf

A plum scarf knitted in pure cashmere. There is no blend here — the Compositions feature reads cashmere and nothing else, at a fibre fineness of 15 µm.

180 x 50 cm gives you a scarf with some presence. Looped once it sits full at the throat with the ends still reaching down the coat; opened out, the 50 cm width covers the shoulders properly. It is the size that works from an autumn evening through to the coldest part of the winter.

Care: Wash it less than instinct suggests — cashmere freshens well by simply being aired overnight. When it needs more, use a wool and cashmere detergent and either hand wash in lukewarm water or run a 30°C wool programme, without rubbing the fabric. Press the water out, dry flat on a towel rather than hanging it, and never tumble dry. A cashmere comb takes off any pills the friction of a coat collar raises.
