Navy blue cashmere beanie

A beanie knitted in 100% cashmere, in navy blue. The yarn has a fibre thickness of 15 µm — the fine end of the cashmere scale, which is what matters in a hat that sits directly against the forehead. Our cashmere page covers how the fibre is graded.

It comes in one size, and navy blue is dark enough to go with most coats. The rest of the range is in knitted hats, and our colour chart shows the shades we knit in — useful if you want the hat to match a scarf or neck warmer.

Care: A hat picks up more from hair and skin than a scarf does, so it will need washing a little more often — but still by hand, in lukewarm water, with a detergent made for wool and cashmere, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees. Press the water out rather than wringing, reshape the beanie while it is damp, and dry it flat on a towel. Never tumble dry it. See our washing and care page for the full routine.
