Black cashmere beanie

A beanie in black, knitted in pure cashmere. Black is the version you stop thinking about: it goes with the coat you already own and everything under it.

What it does not compromise on is the fibre. Pure cashmere, graded at 15 microns — among the finer cashmere qualities, as our page on cashmere production explains — which is why a hat this light is this warm, and why it stays gentle against the forehead rather than scratching. Country of origin is Inner Mongolia.

Care: Air it overnight instead of washing it whenever it is not actually soiled. When it needs more, use the wool programme at 30 °C or wash it by hand in lukewarm water with a detergent made for wool and cashmere. Press the water out without wringing, dry it flat on a towel, and keep it out of the tumble dryer. Pilling comes away with a cashmere comb. Our washing and care page has the full routine.
