Taupe cashmere beanie

A beanie in taupe, knitted in pure cashmere.

Fibre thickness is what separates cashmere qualities, and this yarn is graded at 15 microns — among the finer grades, as our page on cashmere production explains when it walks through how the fibre is sorted and priced. In wear that shows up as warmth without weight, and as a hat that stays gentle against the forehead. Country of origin is Inner Mongolia.

Care: Whenever it is not actually soiled, air it overnight instead of washing. When it does need a wash, use the wool programme at 30 °C or lukewarm water by hand with a detergent made for wool and cashmere. Press the water out without wringing, dry it flat on a towel, and never tumble dry. A cashmere comb removes pilling. Our washing and care page has the full method.
