Dark golden shawl in handwoven cashmere

A shawl in 100% cashmere in dark golden, handwoven in basket weave from cashmere fibre measuring 15 µm.

Basket weave, or plain weave, is the plainest of the weaving structures — each weft thread crossing over one warp thread and under the next, so the cloth reads as a simple criss-cross. At 70 x 200 cm the shawl can be wrapped twice around the neck or worn open across the shoulders. See the rest of the basket weave range.

It is handwoven on traditional handlooms in our own weaving mill in Nepal, where the work is slow and every stage is quality-checked by hand. More about our handweaving.

Care: Cashmere rarely needs washing — air the shawl outdoors overnight instead. When it does need it, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees.
