Off-white shawl in handwoven cashmere

A shawl in 100% cashmere in off-white, handwoven in basket weave. The fibre measures 15 µm.

In basket weave, also called plain weave, warp and weft are aligned so they form a simple criss-cross pattern — each weft thread passing over one warp thread and under the next. The shawl measures 70 x 200 cm and can be wound twice around the neck or worn loose across the shoulders. All our basket weave pieces.

It is woven by hand on a traditional handloom in our own weaving mill in Nepal.

Care: Air the shawl outdoors overnight rather than washing it each time you wear it. When washing is needed, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees. Avoid rubbing the fabric, never tumble dry, and dry it flat on a dry towel. Full washing and care instructions.
