Dove blue shawl in handwoven cashmere

A shawl in 100% cashmere in dove blue, handwoven in basket weave from cashmere fibre measuring 15 µm.

Basket weave, also known as plain weave, aligns warp and weft so they form a simple criss-cross pattern — the plainest and one of the oldest of the weaving structures. At 70 x 200 cm the shawl can be wound twice around the neck or worn open across the shoulders. See the whole basket weave range.

It is woven by hand on traditional handlooms in our own weaving mill in Nepal, where every step of the work is quality-checked before the shawl leaves the mill. More about our handweaving.

Care: Cashmere seldom needs washing — air the shawl outdoors overnight instead. When you do wash it, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees. Never tumble dry: dry it flat on a towel without wringing. Read the full care guide.
