Navy shawl in handwoven cashmere

A shawl in 100% cashmere in navy blue, handwoven in basket weave. The cashmere fibre measures 15 µm.

The weave is basket weave, also known as plain weave: warp and weft are aligned so they form a simple criss-cross pattern across the cloth. The shawl measures 70 x 200 cm — long enough to wind twice around the neck, or to wear open over a coat or a dress. All our basket weave shawls and stoles.

Each one is woven by hand on a traditional handloom in our own weaving mill in Nepal.

Care: Airing the shawl outdoors overnight is usually enough to freshen it. When washing is needed, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees. Never tumble dry; lay it flat on a dry towel to dry. Full washing and care instructions.
