Taupe grey cashmere blanket in cable knit

A throw in 100% cashmere, worked in a cable knit and finished in taupe grey. The yarn has a fibre thickness of 15 µm, and that fineness is why a cashmere blanket can be warm without being heavy — our cashmere page explains how the fibre is collected and graded.

At 200 x 180 cm this is closer to bedspread size than lap-blanket size: wide enough to lie across a double bed, generous enough to wrap around two people on the sofa. It belongs with the rest of our throws and blankets — something to use daily rather than fold away.

Care: If the blanket is not actually dirty, air it outdoors overnight rather than washing it. When it does need a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees.
