Black cashmere blanket in cable knit

A cable-knit blanket in pure cashmere, in black. It is knitted from a fine 15 µm cashmere, the grade that keeps a throw of this size light in the hand — cashmere insulates by trapping air in the fibre, not by sheer weight of material.

At 200 x 180 cm there is enough of it for two people on a sofa. The cable pattern gives the black surface some relief and depth rather than leaving it flat, and black is the one colour that will not argue with whatever furniture it lands on. Every shade we knit in is listed in our colour chart.

The cashmere is from Inner Mongolia. Browse the rest of our throws and blankets.

  • 100% cashmere
  • Fibre fineness: 15 µm
  • Colour: black
  • Cable knit
  • Size: 200 x 180 cm
  • Country of origin: Inner Mongolia

Care: Air the blanket outdoors overnight instead of washing it whenever possible. For a proper clean, use the wool programme at 30 degrees with a wool-and-cashmere detergent, or lukewarm water by hand — do not rub or wring it. Dry it flat on dry towels rather than hanging it, as the weight of the water in a piece this large will pull it out of shape, and keep it out of the tumble dryer entirely. Pilling can be combed off with a cashmere comb. See our care page for cashmere.
