Beige cashmere blanket in cable knit

A blanket in pure cashmere, knitted in a cable pattern, in beige. The yarn is a fine 15 µm quality — the same grade we use for scarves and hats, which is why a throw this large stays light enough to actually pull over yourself rather than sitting folded on a chair.

It measures 200 x 180 cm, wide enough to share. The cable knit gives the surface its structure, and beige lets it sit on a sofa or across the end of a bed without dictating the rest of the room.

Care: A blanket needs washing far less often than clothing — air it outdoors overnight, out of direct sunlight, and it will freshen up. When it does need a wash, use the wool programme at 30 degrees with a detergent intended for wool and cashmere, or lukewarm water by hand without rubbing. Dry it flat on dry towels rather than over a line, since a piece this size holds a lot of water and will stretch under its own weight, and never tumble dry it. A cashmere comb lifts away any pilling.
