Dove blue blanket in pure cashmere

A blanket knitted in 100% cashmere, dove blue, in a cable pattern. The cashmere has a fibre fineness of 15 µm, so a blanket at this size stays soft to handle rather than turning heavy.

At 200 x 180 cm it is closer to a bedspread than a lap rug — enough to spread across the foot of a bed, or to wrap all the way around yourself in a chair. It is knitted in Inner Mongolia. The rest of our throws and blankets are here.

Care: Airing the blanket outdoors overnight is the gentlest way to freshen it, and the one to reach for first. When it needs washing, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — the machine wool programme at 30 degrees rinses a piece this size better than hand washing can — and avoid rubbing the knit, which felts wool. Do not wring it: press the water out and dry it flat on a towel, never in a tumble dryer. Pills that form with use come off with a cashmere comb.
