Light grey cashmere blanket in cable knit

A blanket in 100% cashmere, knitted in cable, measuring 200 x 180 cm. That is wide enough to cover a double bed across its foot, or to take two people on a sofa.

The yarn is cashmere at 15 microns, and the cable knit gives the piece its structure — a knitted blanket sits and folds differently from a woven one, with more give and more body. The colour is light grey. It is made in Inner Mongolia, in the region the cashmere itself comes from.

Care: Cashmere wants a gentle wash: lukewarm water by hand, or the wool programme at 30 °C, with a detergent made for wool and cashmere. Do not rub or wring the knit, and never tumble dry it — press the water out, then dry the blanket flat and reshape it while damp so the cables keep their line.
