Orange yak scarf View larger

Orange yak scarf

At 70 x 200 cm this is cut as a stole rather than a narrow scarf — wide enough to go over the shoulders as a wrap, long enough to loop twice at the neck and still hang. In orange, it is meant to be the colour in an outfit rather than the neutral.

It is woven in pure yak wool, a luxury fibre in the same class as cashmere and merino, in a twill, and hand-woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal.

The full range in this fibre is under yak scarves; if you are matching a colour, our colour chart sets out every shade we weave.

  • Composition: 100% yak
  • Colour: Orange
  • Weave: Twill
  • Size: 70 x 200 cm
  • Made in: Nepal

Care: Air the scarf outdoors overnight instead of washing it more than it needs. When it does need it, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere and wash by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees. Do not rub the fibres, do not wring the water out, and keep it out of the tumble dryer — dry it flat on a dry towel. See our washing and care page for the full method.
